Outside of more obvious things like treating Bullet well, there is nothing else stated about how to get the good or bad ending. There are multiple endings and I did get the bad Ellis one, but the good Bullet ending. I also relied heavily on the flashlight and it took me a while to get comfortable with the navigation. The game makes it apparent that this can happen, but between being lost in the dark while trying to do puzzles and fighting off enemies at the same time, I found myself getting frustrated. I actually got lost multiple times, especially when it was dark. While the story is fine, I feel that it was both convoluted and somewhat unoriginal at the same time. The game works hard to make you care about Ellis. His story is interesting, but one could argue that it is somewhat cliche. We learn his backstory slowly as the game goes on. His voice acting is good and the dialogue fits in with the narrative. I looked forward to every chance the camcorder was used.Įllis is a compelling character, which is good because the game is predominantly him alone. It serves the plot, is needed to solve puzzles, and more. The camcorder is a fitting mechanic as well and blends right in with the original film. His AI can act up sometimes like when he runs away, but for the most part Bullet is the best boy so be sure to treat him well. In return, he will help you seek out objectives. You can pet him, give him treats, and talk to him.
